Spent the day learning how to use Davinci Resolve 18. It’s a super-cool (though complex) software! If you’re interested in video editing and have good PC, then try it out. It’s completely free, and it’s actually used to edit Hollywood films.
I would have use that to edit videos if only it recognized my laptop’s subpar GPU
Oof ;-; what do you have?
Whatever editor I found :/
Oof ;-;
Definitely can confirm that it's great - I've been making some game edits here and there and I can basically do anything I imagine with a little help from youtube
Lol yeah, YouTube is the only way I can make my way around the software. I’m getting a bit more used to the Fusion node system but I haven’t had a whole lot of time to use it.
isnt davinci on windows paid in order to use the GPU (aka your RTX card on your laptop)? afaik the mac GPU version is free
I haven’t had any trouble with that - though to be honest, I don’t know if it was using my GPU or just my ridiculously powerful CPU. I’m pretty sure the GPU works, because I was rendering some pretty complex 3D effects super quickly. Either way, it hasn’t been a problem.
Don't think so, my GPU spikes when I move the playhead around in the editor
Okay, that’s what I thought.
iMovie is good enough for me (I don't have a PC nor do i edit any videos whatsoever)
If you want to make precise edits I would not recommend iMovie
Ik but i don't really need to edit any video like at all so :P
RIP ;-;
iMovie is horrible imo - im not even that much of an advanced editor but its feature set is very limited
Very true. I’d rather use Windows Movie Maker
