why the heck would you get a Chromebook tho?
It’s almost exclusively for note-taking. My main computer is a beast of a laptop, but has subpar battery life and is absolutely massive. Most of the time it’s just not efficient to bring it to every single class. The Duet weighs like 1.2 pounds and has a built-in keyboard case.

We keep our school chromebook for 3 years and most of them deteriorated fast (but i’m really careful so mine isn’t that bad)
Okay there’s your problem - consumer-grade Chromebooks are miles better than whatever crap they’re giving schools
