One time I created an account named @realjeffalo, but later it got renamed to @fakejeffalo but they don't even bother changing the accounts with slurs
There probably is no filter since I tried it for ****ot and it worked. Anyways I changed it to something else for obvious reasons, but I totally didn't expect it to work.

Deleting or changing the names makes it so people can't just register the name again

No. For example, @mr_owlsss was my original Wasteof username. I changed it to something else then registered a new one with that name so no one would take it if I decided to change it back (I did but not with an underscore)
Can't they blacklist the names
