Just the Scratch Team being the Scratch Team as usual. They haven’t done anything to improve Scratch in a long time. Requiring a token (basically an account) doesn’t seem like a good thing to do, especially for something that’s (supposed to be) open-source.

This is absolutely ridiculous. They're alienating a big part of the community (everyone who's used forkphorus or Turbowarp) by doing this.
like I said in the GitHub discussion, turbowarp will probably still be able to view shared projects, they’ll just register a new helper account and use the token from that one to get shared projects. I totally agree though, it seems completely unnecessary to add it to shared projects. What about project embedding? What about if you’re not logged in? It doesn’t make sense and its just unnecessary work
The only problem with that is, you will have to deal with Scratch’s API rate limiting.
the st is quickly becoming the opposite of goated
they weren’t the best at listening to user feedback before this cough studio redesign cough
