m1 macbook air review after over a year
its very light and thin, but the wedge shape isnt too good since the m2 now has the boxy design
space gray is amazing and scratches are very minimal
finger print reader works very fast but isnt too great in terms of design (its a rounded square thats all)
screen is pretty good, retina 13” display but bezels are
no notch
battery life is really good if not insane, i can go through an entire day of using it lightly with 10 tabs open on firefox and 3-5 apps as well, i can burn through 40% after around 1-1.5 hours of using blender too
mac os is an experience
not having a fan isnt an issue for light tasks, but if you do go into heavy programming or editing or 3D stuff, be prepared for it to get pretty warm after only 10+ minutes of sustained heavy use, and be prepared for it to throttle after 15-20 minutes as well.
$999 is pretty worth the money for laptop itself, but 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD is too little, so its overpriced unless you wanna pay for the longevity and build quality.
only buy the M1 now if you’re on a tight budget and like dark bezels around the screen
its very light and thin (noted by my classmates)
the midnight blue fingerprints and scratches can drive one mad
the keyboard is very nice to type on. i think i might buy a low profile keyboard for my desktop
fingerprint reader is nice
screen is very nice. wish it was higher refresh rate but whatever
battery life is insane. i could still have battery right now if i didnt even charge it when i got it out of the box
mac os is an experience
i dont know much about laptop market but personally i would not recommend it if you have a tight budget. but if you have a lot of money and you dont want to get a macbook pro for some reason, this is a very good macbook air.
is there ANY laptop with a webcam with greater resolution than 1080p that doesn’t have massive bezels?
I don’t think anyone makes laptops with better than 1080p cameras
