it actually isn’t owned by facebook, and facebook probably has no knowledge of wasteof.
however, i found this profile on facebook:
this leads me to believe that this person baught this url and attempted to redirect people to his page, but it failed and sent people to facebook’s homepage. this also explans the facebook favicon on early versions of the website.

maybe we can get in contact with that guy and ask about the domain
that would be cool but according to his page he works for the US army and is in afganistan for peace keeping

i can’t use messenger to message him because my facebook account is…. banned. (of course after doing some trolling)
and if i try to make a new one it throws a really vague error. (even with a vpn, which makes me think the obvious: Facebook knows my location and my devices and knows i’m at my house trying to message a US army guy about a domain and is preventing me from making a new account just to piss me off)
in that case, i think he can keep his domain :P i dont really have any money to buy it with anyway
