several years ago i dreamed about super mario maker 1. basically i was playing with either a mod or a beta of the game. the smw overworld ground top grass was a lot thicker, as if it was the bush sprite but upside down and layered over the tile. the smw castle theme was a candy land, but apparently it was just the background that changed (also no lava). finally, nsmbu underwater theme was above water and the tileset was the same, but the background could be zoomed in and out and navigated in 3D, besides it was completely different, it had slope hills and the skybox was black with a blue rectangle too small and poorly placed, to represent the "sky"
