Why do you do the work you do?

Answering that question regularly can help in two ways:

  1. Coming up with a good answer shows the purpose in your work and makes it more fulfilling.

  2. Failing to come up with a good answer suggests there is no reason for that work to continue and that it’s time to consider other options.

Keep your head up and always act with intention!

Thank you for the support, I really do appreciate it. While I do work for a reason, that reason is unfortunately just straight up not getting yelled at for my grades and getting a job that I can at least survive of off. Although sometimes I do enjoy it, it just feels so nonstop, that sometimes it can get a pretty tiring.

When work becomes too tiring, take a break. Forcing yourself to continue grinding through fatigue lowers work quality. Getting good rest, on the other hand, allows you to attack whatever follows with more clarity and energy.

Consider going for walks, meditation, and journaling. And, of course, get plenty of sleep every night.

You say “a job you can at least survive off of.” You don’t sound terribly excited about that.

If there was a position you wanted to hold, or more generally a future you wanted to achieve (I’m not a fan of jobs, but that’s just me), you may be more invested in this mission and find it easier to exert effort.

What do you want?
