maybe, but incredibly sketchy
what browser do you use? firefox?
firefox fork called librewolf
I like the browser mods It can be a lot but it's good for customization or limiting CPU/RAM usage
yup :D
It has a lot of features, but it's sketchy and I don't think it's open source.
I like edge’s homepage so I use that. Maybe I should switch though.
you LIKE edge’s homepage??? Bing is horrible and MSN is laggy/annoying/full of ads.
yes! All my favourite tabs spread across, a nice background, football scores on the right, interesting news articles on the left, and I can also switch the football scores tab with the weather. What more could you want?
a non-slow homepage, actually good search engine, and microsoft not pushing BingAI to you at every turn
it’s not slow, I set the default search engine to google, and yeah fair point kept getting that popup
also, msn news is cringe (sometimes) D:
oh youre so real for that
i havent touched anything on it for recommended stuff so the trending just gives me conspiracy theories and purposely inflammatory or exaggerated articles
and most of the articles on the top have more dislikes than likes
engagement at any cost, no matter how negative (even from the most flat-earth-theory-birds-aren’t-real conspiracy sites that you can barely even remotely call news)
disagree, the sport articles are relevant and the other stories are to do with juicy gossip that I like
AHHHHHHH
YES (i use it)
It has free adblocker, free tracker blocker, free vpn, force dark mode, twitch/discord/twitter integration, ram/cpu limiting, ytmusic/spotify integration sidebar, and better bookmark managerment
Free adblocker: Just install uBlock Origin.
Free tracker blocker: That’s integrated in every other browser.
Free VPN: Using a free VPN is the one of the stupidest things you could do for web security, and companies that offer one aren’t particularly trustworthy.
Force dark mode: This is available in Chromium browsers via a flag.
Twitch/Discord/Twitter integration: How is this different from just having Twich/Discord/Twitter pinned?
RAM/CPU limiting: Fair enough. Using it just because of that is probably not a good idea though.
YouTube Music/Spotify integration: See 5.
Better bookmark management: Can you elaborate?
people are sleeping on the dark reader extension
It can break sites you already have in dark mode
yeah it does
but i just turn it off
i don’t usually use vpn, and i only use it to get around rate limits/article limits on websites (not for apis or anything just to read more than the 3 articles or something a month.
Cause you don’t have to have the tab open…
My computer has very low RAM and when I’m gaming and using Chrome/Firefox/etc., it’s terrible
But i like the sidebar
Also, I just like the Opera GX Ambiance :)
I still wouldn’t necessarily trust a company offering this
what exactly do you mean?
Aren’t there programs for that?
Edge has something similar to that? But it’s useless anyways.
