Hey guys! I have a question! Based on your religious beliefs, do you believe in evolution? Why or why not?
Personally, I was raised in a scientific (non-relgious too) household. Ice always thought that evolution was just about near proven, but I've had conversations with friends who are Christian who say they don't believe in it. I'm curious to see what other people think.
Just saw a typo of "ice" instead of "I've"
Personally I do believe in it, and I believe it because there is literally proof of it...
not discrediting any religions here, but if i said that my religion says that the earth is flat, does that make the earth flat? no. it really doesn’t matter what your religion is, you shouldn’t trust the writers of a thousands-of-years-old book in ways that make you ignore what’s happening/what we know in the present and ignore your own logic.
But it's the way beliefs work that I'm curious about. Personally, it would take an awful lot to make me think differently, so I am biased in a way.
Evolution has some major flaws in it. When I get home (Sunday) I'll try to write a longer response with actual reasoning, but I don't have my computer right now
i will be very interested to read that
It will be better than my LGBTQ post (which started off like this)
As far as proof goes, I think simply put "survival of the fittest" sums evolution up. Animals adapt to their environment, and they don't then they don't pass on their own inferior characteristics. Eventually, the species ends up entirely different.
