Fijian Rugby player Josua Tuisova, missed his 7 year olds son funeral to play in Fiji’s game vs Portugal, where Fiji need 1 point to qualify for the quarter finals.
Should’ve he paid his respects to his own son or should people be able to mourn/cope with deaths how they like?
personally i pwould’ve went to the funeral. a game isn’t worth it.
world cup is the biggest tournament and is infrequent but yeah. Also Fiji are a great rugby team so if he missed that game, I honestly still think Fiji will win and that he can then join up again with the squad for the Quarter Finals if he wants.
Still think though how a person mourns a death should be up to them, may be a coping mechanism or his son had said to continue if he dies during the tournament (it wasn’t a sudden death, it was a long term illness and the death was unfortunately coming)
