Texas is in the west
Florida is in the south but it sorta feels different than other southern states when you go there. It has a different culture almost. Texas and California are the same way, and North Carolina is too, sort of.
This is what is usually defined as the South in the U.S.

Yeah but like I said they feel different in their culture. Idk, it’s not a big difference but some people may not count them as being part of “The South”
