chester @chester

hey so uh random theory go

yall know how 2d equations work right? put X in a function, and Y is the result.

you don’t have to do the math for all the results of the function to exist, because a true equation always exists, you just discover it.

so if we make X time and Y the entire state of the universe encoded into a number… isnt it possible for an multiple sandboxed universes to just exist without anyone making them or even discovering them?

like if we took X squared and made a graph, the values of Y exist whether or not we calculate them.

so uh, our universe MUST be one of those equations. if its possible, its true, like with any other equation.

i ain’t reading allat

lol why you comment

I’ve actually come close to this thought with esolangs. Instead of a function, I was more imagining some simple Turing machine or whatever Brainpocalypse II is running the universe.

Quantum physics probably ruins this idea in some way, unfortunately.

Idk, if you remove some of the limits of a math function, it might work regardless of quantum mechanics

like if there was an equation that modified an atom at a specific particular point in time (X), which is theoretically possible, that would explain the unpredicability of quantum physics

i have never shared this with anyone and really wish to not think about this alone
