Hello developers

What’s the cheapest way to buy domains (That’s not a scam) I’m thinking of learning HTML, and what better way than to make a website! (i think)

CloudFlare has .com domains for $9.77 per year (that’s where I got mine)

I use w3schools.com or GitHub.io for free subdomains

they haven’t accepted a request in months

SparkShell once it gets released fr

well, you wouldn't buy it but you'd get esben.sparkshell.sh for free

o7, btw, any estimates on when spark shell is releasing?

this summer hopefully, my sister and I are working on another project right now.

That site shows you different places to get free domains

Sign up for the GitHub student developer pack (which is free) and you can get not one but three free domains. And they’re not sketchy domains or registrars either. You can get a .me from NameCheap, a .tech from .tech domains, and a .live from name.com. That’s how I got my domain.

https://education.github.com/pack

They used to give more TLDs, so I got a .studio domain. Also, I wasn’t able to get the .tech domain for some reason, it just didn’t work. Just a heads up.

Also, it’s only free for one year, after that you have to pay.

Thanks! Although I am homeschooled, can I still sign up for that?

Yeah I’m homeschooled and I signed up just fine

i mean, .tk and .cc domains are free, but the only .cc domain i’ve seen that doesn’t make me raise an eyebrow is https://www.arduino.cc/

how would you acquire a free .cc domain?

this might help. i should clarify, i’ve never tried it before myself, i just know it’s an option. https://www.verisign.com/domain-names/cc-domain-names/

namecheap or spaceship (same company)
