The lore behind him is actually crazy definitely the best and most interesting in the Scratch multiverse

kiwi @kiwi

i just found out why a popular animation scratcher who i enjoyed watching years back deleted their account. all i can say is, i had no idea they did the bad things they did, and i feel a little betrayed even though i wasn’t one of several scratchers who was affected by their actions… yikes.

can someone explain the kaj lore to me

Kaj was a user in like 2008 who got mad when he didn’t get any attention and threatened to hack people, then got banned. But people decided to make it into a thing and so it’s a piece of lore now

fun fact: lightnin confirmed in a now-buried comment thread that kaj actually owned another account, which is still accessible today.

I know, and how Kaj emailed Scratch saying he liked the attention and wasn’t bothered

i wonder if they’re still out there on the internet somewhere, and what they’re up to now.

i think kaj is interesting because they seem to be the only instance where the naming and shaming rule is exempt as long as you’re only stating the facts

yeah. Scratch are defo trying to distance themselves from Kaj now though, a lot of forum posts on Kaj (cited in the wiki) are now deleted and if it happened past 2016 it would defo all be private

hence why, for example, “paddlergames controversy” is not an article on the scratch wiki, since it’s so recent (unless several wikians vote to make it an article, that’s what happened with kaj)
