i’m kind of convinced that every cartoon network show isn’t necessarily targeted towards kids, but they also didn’t have the courage to put it on adult swim, so it’s just in this weird middle ground

wasn’t that how gumball was created? like, it was originally AS but they rejected it.
I think something similar happened to powerpuff girls too
actually, that’s a myth. gumball was never pitched to [as]. i dunno how that story got spread around, but it definitely never happened.
