After a second listen, I understand the storyline and concept more, although my original criticisms of the repetiveness of new “Gen Z” stuff like pronouns, trans people that slim shady is confused by (and with Em trying to stop these thoughts as he thinks these stuff are OK), it does make more sense now.
I’ve upped my rating to a 7/10 and it’s overall a positive Eminem released it, unlike some bad projects like Revival and MTBMB Side B.
I thought the album was alright, a bit underwhelming and I agree with critics that it is a “mixed bag”. That being said, I am happy that Eminem released this album as it seems like most people on social media really like the album, and overall I agree that it is a positive addition to his discography.
My rating for the album was a 6/10, but I will listen to it a few more times as I’ve seen many say it’s better and more understanding after multiple listens.
