I was planning on adding pinging users to megi but I want everyone to decide what will happen
I add pinging users BUT spaces and some characters like @ symbols will be prohibited in usernames
Usernames can continue to have spaces and @ symbols but no user pinging

both, you write @[the name] to ping someone, where "the name" is the name
Could you use a system like discord where you technically ping the user id but it’s rendered as whatever their username is?
might tie in with this https://github.com/JoshAtticus/megi/issues/8
