It allows you to not drop your pen when writing the letter
because my pen definitely keeps falling out of my hand when i draw it the other way

I just write cursive so that it actually looks like whatever letter it’s supposed to be… I guess I haven’t thought about cursive “k” much

some people write the lowercase k like that and i have no idea why
