A quick poll: how many of you would be offended or stop using the app if I set up Firebase Crashlytics in wasteof for Android? It would enable me to better diagnose bugs and crashes in the app, but would also mean that the app would technically contact Google's servers.

no problem with that since i give more information to google with bug reports on my phone

as long as it helps you make my experience better, I'm completely fine w/ it!

Thanks for the feedback :)

If it would be possible to turn it on and off, I'm fine with that

I will look into the feasibility of adding that as an option. Not sure if that's something that is in scope...

I believe in generosity, so I freely give my data to everyone 😁So I wouldn’t mind

Yeah google already knows my full name, address, and school anyway

Personally I think as long as you're transparent about it and actually are using it to improve the app (which I trust you will) then I'd say fine. Plus I can always just block the trackers myself if I felt that it was not for me.

Don't really know what that would entail for me as a user

Nothing perceivable to you - but if there are any crashes or errors I'll get reports and will be able to fix bugs faster.

What data is collected?

JavaScript error stack traces, device model, a few other things. No IP addresses or super identifiable information.

Ok fire that sounds good
