Right, halloween's basically over so I feel justified in talking about christmas.

So, for several years I've been holding a ‘christmas light count', where I attempt to count the properties that I see displaying christmas decorations that year. This is of course quite difficult to keep track of (ignoring the problem of trying to remember which lights I've already seen) because I'm not very good at remembering the number I'm on. The solution? A spreadsheet of course! This also allows me to look at the rate of appearance of christmas lights throughout november and december. This year's count will start tomorrow.

I was going to put the graph for last year here, but I can't export it large enough on my phone… it might happen tomorrow!

I'll try and give an update at the end of december :)

I used to do this but with how many people had pumpkins out (carved or not) and I did it three years in a row. I counted over 100 one year
