3.434359492×10^168186 is larger than 41 last time i checked
The Christmas Light Count is looking a bit different this year compared to last year - so far I’ve counted 41 properties with Christmas decorations on my usual local routes - this time last year I had 8!! That’s 5 times more!! It’ll be interesting to see whether we get more christmas lights overall, an earlier plateau, or something entirely different…
I blame integer overflow…
I think this actually works for any reasonably sized integer type, say even i64 (or u64): 8!! = 40320! which has definitely more than 128 multiples of 2 in it, so will be a multiple of 2^64. so, modulo 2^64 will be 0, which is 0 now matter if we’re using signed or unsigned integers so will be less than 41.
How is that number relevant?
