I think I could still simplify 3, 4 & 5 by removing the variables but it looks cleaner like this

i know you can do that, but, for example, (x-1)²/(x-1) isn’t the same as (x-1) because the former is undefined at x=1
Number 2 can be simplified to 3/4ab
Number 3 can be simplified to (x+3)/(x-4)

Yes and it is equal to x-1 (as long as x≠1)
and “equal (as long as x≠1)” isn’t the same as just being equal
