There’s nothing like running 13 miles during the golden hour in the North Carolina countryside…
Apparently you can get run down houses for $1.05 in Italy, and fix them up and live there. Pretty hype.

Oh snap… They’re actually gonna win…
Syria going crazy again was NOT on my geopolitical list for this year…
The rebels likely aren’t gonna get much further than Aleppo but this means the war is probably gonna start back again. Just what we need, more chaos in the Middle East…
It happened AGAIN

I want to say, in pretty much the last half of this year my music tastes have had a massive swing from normal rap over to Christian rap. I almost never listen to normal rap anymore. (I have listened to maybe 30 minutes of Kanye in the last 4 months, if you want proof.) So all the normal rap songs you see here are relics from the first half of the year.

Edit: I listened to 16000 minutes this year btw
South Koreans waking up not knowing the most important national political event in the last 50 years started and ended overnight:
Syria going crazy again was NOT on my geopolitical list for this year…

I just spent 3 days struggling to get CoreData (which stores your app data so it will persist) working for an app I’m building. Just now I found out about SwiftData, which is a way simpler, easier, and newer framework that does the same thing.
It’s not all bad though because I learned how CoreData works. And I got more points for High Seas because I spent more time on it.
US Elections 2024 Recap:
It is a red wave. Trump won the presidential election in a landslide. He won about 10 million votes more than Kamala, the first time he’s ever won the popular vote. As of this writing he has 277 electoral votes to Kamala’s 224, with more likely coming. 270 are needed to win.
Kamala had terrible turnout. Trump got about the same number of votes as 2020, but Kamala had 20 million less votes than 2020 (That’s 25% less!)
The Senate flipped to Republican control. They have at least 52 seats, with several close races still not called.
The House of Representatives is still up in the air. Republicans have a slight lead, but there are still ~50 more races to be called.
10 states voted on measures relating to abortion. 6 states voted for abortion rights. South Dakota, Nebraska, and Florida voted to keep their bans or restrictions on abortion.
The Supreme Court is likely to remain in conservative control in the next few cycles, as Trump will be able to replace 2 justices who are expected to retire soon.
TLDR: Trump and his allies won.
Complaints about Apple silicon Macs when they were first released:
Low base RAM (FIXED with M4 chips, 16gb is standard)
Egregious upgrade prices (Not fixed)
No way to use external GPUs (FIXED because the integrated GPUs are actually good enough)
Small SSDs (Not fixed but also not a very strong complaint, because you can plug in external SSDs)
Bad repairability (They have been getting better on publishing repair details and making parts available, but Macs are still physically hard to repair, even if you know how)
