View alli want the readers to sympathize with rich kid at the beginning, and the morals of everyone to seem really clear (rich kid’s the protagonist, sylvia’s the antagonist), but by about halfway through the story, everyone’s really morally ambiguous and people have legitimate reasons for still liking rich kid and disliking sylvia, but people also have legitimate reasons for liking sylvia and disliking rich kid.
i need to actually develop rich kid as a character and figure out how to work their adventures into the plot tbh IMSOHHAPPY DONT HURT YOURSELF CHAT DISTRACT YOURSELF BY WRITING A FANTASY STORY WITH MAGIC AND CRIME AND HOT LESBIANS AND GOVERNMENTS BEING OVERTHROWN INSTEAD

sylvia’s gf (enemies to lovers thing seems kinda cool or like. strained work relationship because they rob rich people together but lowkey hate each other to lovers thing. idfk bro)
the professor (old non-binary person who teaches sylvia what the books she stole mean)
the professor’s son (not really an important character to the plot but he’s lydia’s father and vv important to her so i need to give him personality)
hazel’s great-aunt (badass old woman not as hateable as hazel is)
sylvia’s dead parents + dead little sister (traumatic backstory)

royal family (idfk what’s going on but they need to exist)

upper class is american high upper class + low upper class, while “lower class” really spans from like. american high middle class all the way down to american low lower class
