How people perceive scores:
10/10: This is the best of the best. Nothing can beat this.
9/10: This is very good!
8/10: Hey, that's nice!
7/10: Uh, it's fine.
6/10: You need to do better than this.
5/10: You need to do better than this.
4/10: Bleh.
3/10: Bleh.
2/10: Bleh.
1/10: Bleh.
0/10: Bleh.
This shows us that linear scoring is bad.
For me:
10/10 - Yes.
9/10 - Almost yes, but not quite.
8/10 - It’s great!
7/10 - That’s nice!
6/10 but in a 3/5 way - Good.
6/10 just as itself - Average.
5/10 - Average, but slightly worse.
4/10 - Close to being good.
3/10 - No.
2/10 - This doesn’t exist, only 1/10 and 0/10.
1/10 - Well, there’s something, at least.
0/10 - No.
I typically use 7/10 as the “average“ rating.
Me too.
but really 4 is great because its almost halfway to the best thing ever! and 5 is amazing because its halfway. and so on
