Why are you so determined to keep this going? It’s been a day and nobody really cares.

just wait until you see my post

Idk, never been.

it’s delicious

I don’t think we have chick-fil-as in Britain so I’ll never get one.

but they donated to homophobic charities and their old CEO said some things about same-sex marriage that rightfully pissed some people off

once again, I like the food, hate the corporation

the food is good, and i understand the fact that they are a company with very religious values, but you really shouldn’t be donating to charities that have been classified as hate groups…

They’re not classified as hate groups. The controversial groups that were donated to were:

  • the Fellowship of Christian Athletes

  • Salvation Army

  • the Paul Anderson Youth Home

None of those were hate groups

they've also donated money in 2009 and 2010 to:

- The American Family Association (they basically protest if any TV show "promotes the homosexual agenda" [and has been labeled as a hate group by the SPLC])

- Exodus International (now defunct, but they used "conversion therapy" to basically make gay people become heterosexuals)

They also outright lied when they said that they would stop donating to these types of organizations, but they continued to do so (and may still be doing so)

I’m writing something basically about this. I’ll post it tomorrow

Salvation Army is against same-sex marriage.

aren’t they notoriously anti lgbt?

their food tastes good

why do we have to read so much meaning into everything??? why can’t we just eat good food without politics and principles taking over

Because we don’t want to pay for our rights to get taken away.

those groups do not have any say in government lmao, how exactly would they take your rights away?

you’d want to at least have some control over where your money’s going

because when you pay money to chic-fil-a, they donate it to organizations that oppose lgbt rights. these corporations have a lot more influence in the government than you might think.

I don’t think anyone would stay in an abusive family just because their mom made good food, why would we do the same for a restaurant chain

Best analogy here
