when are they not
what did they do now?
long story short unity is going to start charging developers money every time someone installs their game
people on itch.io who give out their games for free:
anyways there goes any thought of using unity if I do make another game, if I ever do
it’s only if the game makes more than $200000 per year
actually it’s only if the game makes more than $200000 per year, at which point the dev can afford it
yeaahh… best reason to go to godot, a platform that isn’t exploiting indies :P
And it's open source!!
yeah! :D
actually it’s only if the game makes more than $200000 per year, at which point the dev can afford it. And it’s not exactly an indie at that point either
it’s not just this. their CEO or something called gamedevs who don’t add ads “f***ing idiots” and they’ve been moving away from gamdev to like simulation software for enterprise for a while. also, they merged with a malware company (ironsource) and have been stealing artist’s work with AI.
