Turn 0.1 - The Beginnin’™

Why 0.1? Because it looks funky, and we’re in the Passive Phase. You can’t attack anyone just yet.

These posts will be made to document major actions and signify the start of a new turn. This is where you post your desired actions, such as building, expanding or attacking. You know, when you can do that.

Player maps will be created Soon™, it’ll take a fair bit of work. You’ll be given your resources and population then.

ok, i´d like to build a grain field at FB157:FC158

Again, you can only build within your Capital (i.e your current player sheet). Apologies if I wasn’t super clear with that.

capitals don´t seem to have the 2×2 shape required for grain fields… can i expand my capital in my territory?

It seems I need to do some more explaining. You can only build within Towns, which are separate spreadsheets. This includes your Capital. You cannot build within the Main Map, which is where territories and large resource deposits are displayed. To build outside the Capital, you need to create Towns, which require some resources. Your Capital should suffice for now. You can build as many structures as you want, given the resources.

Your file can be found here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1iaWzd25ZPGNPdt-ofjohhYbJKF02oKWYD1FC0ckfC_c/edit?usp=sharing

i´d like to build a grain field at S50:V52 (unless the colorful areas around the boundary of my city map are also resource fields, in which case i´d like to harvest all of them :P)

(that´s 12 tiles, so 3 grain fields = 600 wood, 300 stone)

i´d also like to fully staff them (48 workers)

Please keep things down to 1 or 2 comments if you can.

Yes, those are resource fields. You harvest as much grain as you can per turn (16 harvests, 4 per grain plot) and obtain 3968 grain.

You set your people to work and build a 3×4 grain plot, which will yield 1200 grain per 10 turns. You might want to give them homes if you want them to keep working, though.

Metal is harvested through mining generic rocks, not just through a mineshaft. The yields are random, and low, but that’s the only option for now.

small question: how do we get metal when the only structure that seems to give us metal (mineshaft) requires metal to build…?
