BREAKING NEWS!

Today, we’ll be giving an update regarding the endorsement of Donald Trump made by @blaze, & it has escalated A LOT since yesterday.

Firstly, Jeffalo (the owner of wasteof) has responded to the endorsement, saying quote:

we at wasteof are proud to not endorse any political candidate (because an impartial social media platform should absolutely not be doing that).

we do encourage those of age in the United States to vote and use common sense while voting though.

-@jeffalo via wasteof

Jeffalo has also commented on Blaze’s endorsement post announcing that he’ll add a dislike button due to this endorsement. Blaze responded by asking Jeffalo to also add a block ability, but received no response.

Meanwhile, the situation has divided people. One side defended Blaze, arguing they have the right to express their own opinion without hatred, & that the comments are extremely hateful & hypocritical. The other side argues that Blaze should’ve been more mindful, considering some people here have a strong hatred for the former president.

We reached out to Blaze for comment, but they didn’t respond. However, they recently made a public apology quote:

We respect our communities & love everyone no matter what, & we want to show our respect to our fellow Blazers by doing so. Moving forward, our brand will be 100% politically neutral…

The posts & comments endorsing Trump have since been removed by Blaze, & the apology has received 18 likes as of writing. This is @politicsnews, signing out.

was this post really necessary? i feel like it a) misrepresents what happened and b) restarts a bit of drama that has sort-of ended
