mef @mef

some of the refinery recipes in NMS are so weird

oxygen -> carbon (inefficient burn)
// kind of makes sense, but what's it burning?

oxygen + ferrite -> rusted ferrite (oxidize metal) rusted ferrite -> 2 ferrite (recycle waste materials)
// both make sense on their own, but together the oxygen is just... getting turned into ferrite?
// don't question it, free ferrite

oxygen + dihydrogen -> salt (rapid combustion and evaporation)
// why does the water magically become salty

pugneum + cave marrow (plant) -> ionized cobalt (pugneum washing)
// HUH???
// I can't see how this makes sense, but pugneum *is* freaky sentinel drone goop so uhh
// if you say so ATLAS

gold -> pyrite (_forgot_what_this_is_called_) pyrite -> ferrite (ferrite extraction)
// I mean I guess??
// real life pyrite *is* FeSO4
// and gold and pyrite look similar (pyrite is often called "fools gold")
// odd refiner logic strikes again

I just wanted to say something about this, not bashing the game for it, I just find it funny
