I really do agree with this post.
I think we all (including myself) need to remind ourselves sometimes that this is just a tiny website and its mostly just here for fun.
its really sad to see how divided and angry the community has become. I get it that people will argue sometimes, and arguments may get a bit out of hand, and that happens. I think many of us who have been involved in these dramas or “kerfuffles” are guilty of this, even I am to a degree. And that’s ok, that happens, and we might like each other less in the end, and that’s ok too, you don’t have to like everyone, that would be basically impossible.
The problem is when you don’t move on. The problem is when an entire group of users tries to villainize a user or multiple users. I don’t want to feel like this website is going to turn into opposing factions that could explode at any second.
Maybe an issue is important to you, maybe you feel that the other person is objectively wrong, but 9 times out of 10 there is no way you’re gonna be able to change the other person’s mind. and if an argument is going nowhere or is pretty clear that its about to turn into a fight, back out, and move on.
Losing an argument doesn’t feel great, but feeling like you have enemies is even worse, sometimes its ok to agree to disagree and end it there.
I agree with this post entirely. 9/11 was a horrible tragedy that killed millions of Americans. Even though it happened 23 years ago, it still isn’t okay to joke about. Anything that involves serious topics should NEVER be joked about under any circumstance.
deeply saddened to see that this conduct is on wasteof.money. making fun of terror attacks is where i draw the line. 9/11 killed 2,996 people and isn’t something that’s acceptable to joke about, even if you are desperate to be quirky or funny.

Something happened IRL and I wanted to take a break from the Internet to clam myself down but honestly this is something I have to share with you guys.
Ratio is no longer with us and that ratio committed suicide. Ratio was someone that made me feel like I am worth being in this world and she helped me follow my dreams and to even help accomplish them. Even when ratio was not in her best mood she was still there for me and others and the impact she had will not be forgotten. The legacy she had on this site is something many will not forget and we will all know that her legacy will still live on even after her passing. We will all remember the impact ratio has made to this site knowing that her and many others helped change this site to what it is today. Many will know her as ratio but I will remember her as my big sister that was there for me and was the most caring person a person can ask for. May she rest in peace knowing she is in a better place now. I will miss her a lot but will always love her from my heart.
