hi hi hi, pinned post time (subject to change bc people change)!
online aliases (in order of preference): ally, ally :), allyz, ally smile
essentials: she/her, person of color, in university on my 2nd degree (suffering) ♡
mainly post stuff about my life! i try to keep my profile a happy, comfy & safe place. i also really like existing peacefully, so if you’re here to say things that will hurt people’s feelings or cause arguments, this is not the place for you :)
interests:
detroit: become human, skyrim: the elder scrolls v, minecraft, SCP, one direction, louis tomlinson, drawing, writing, donating blood, everything everywhere all at once, resident evil 2 & 4, valorant, heathers (both movie & musical), hitman
from a quick glance around the lecture hall during class:
1 person is playing chess
i see at least 2 people doing computer science homework
surprisingly only 1 person shopping - i expected more
at least 5 people randomly scrolling through the lecture slides
1 person who is asleep
1 person with a black computer screen staring into space
more people than usual are on task today! but clearly i am not :P
love dressing up for class! i’m suffering; might as well suffer in style
attended my first rally ever! we are boycotting starbucks for a variety of reasons, local stores on top
if you know me well you likely already know my stance. destroying cultural & academic institutions, knowingly targeting civilians, esp children, and using outlawed chemical weapons is incredibly wrong and also a blatant war crime :/
if anyone is interested in a basic boycott list (with alternatives) feel free to ask! donating to the UNRWA (https://donate.unrwa.org/gaza/~my-donation) or even just sharing & boosting the voices of Palestians on social media & bringing awareness to your local/government leadership are also great ways to help out.
take care & glad y’all are also part of the global community
just wanted to remind the people here that children (and all the other kinds of people who deserve to live) are still being bombed and starved in Gaza
I know that this is mostly a site about things like programming or art or other generally casual topics, but I do feel like this isn’t being talked about enough on here, I haven’t seen anything about it in my feed for weeks, if not over a month
Please at least think and/or talk about this crisis, thank you
so being an extrovert definitely helps, but being too scared to actually hand your resume to the employers you’re talking to definitely does not help
fighting (spam clicking buttons) my demons (wifi speed) in an effort to secure victory (registering a full class schedule)
