wasteof.money user directory
It can be hard to find good content on wasteof, so today I searched and tried to compile a list of noteworthy wasteof accounts under a few topics. This is supposed to be a list of accounts that people might want to follow for a certain type of post, not just a list of active users. If an account isn’t here, then I either missed it or didn’t consider it a consistent enough source of content to mention.
This is not a complete list by any means, so if you have any suggestions or corrections, leave a comment. I can’t maintain this 24/7, but I’ll try to keep it somewhat updated.
Art
@art: A bot that used to post a random work of art every day. Has been down for a few months due to maintenance issues
@da-ta: Vector artist, does landscape and minimalist stuff. Posts art somewhat infrequently, talks about design sometimes
@temi: Vector artist, does abstract stuff. Doesn’t post very often but mostly posts art
@twyx: Opened art commissions a while back, idk if she’s still doing them. Doesn’t post art otherwise
@wahsp: Photographer. A sizable chunk of their pictures are of animals, but they occasionally post other images. Posts pretty frequently, and many of their posts are pictures

@auriali: Writes text posts. Infrequently active. “WITHOUT CLOUT THERE IS NO REASON TO BREATHE.”
@burrito: Writes text posts. Hasn’t really followed up on a promise to do daily posts, but is still pretty active. “i am posting to prove that i am active (i am not screw all of you)”
@dm20: Writes text posts. idk lol. “I want to see who likes all my posts and kiss them”
@jokebot: Bot that posts a joke every day.
@nasa: Parody account, no longer active. “Guys, we got plans to just make one of the 7 world wonders into a rocket. Any ideas to which one?”
@perrin: Writes text posts. Goes in and out of activity at times. “i put a lemon in a microwave for 30 minutes and it exploded”
@rirurin: Irregularly writes text posts. Also an admin. “can they bring the thx sound effect back into the intros of movies i want to be able to test the structural integrity of my house again”

@daily_news: Tried to be a wasteof news account for a while but quit rather quickly
@non-biased-news: Posts pretty much any time anything of note happens on the site
@polaris: See above. Also posts occasional tech news

@8bit: Very active as of me writing this post. Made a Scratch wasteof client called wasteof.turbo and is working on a programming language called CaratScript.
@ankit_anmol: Pretty active. Posts updates about writing and maintaining @wasteof_bot.
@doubledenial: I’m a JavaScript game developer. I try to dedicate my account to gamedev updates most of the time, which sometimes include images and GIFs
@jeffalo: Creator of the site. Decently active, mostly talks about site maintenance and development here
@late: Decently active, posts stuff about programming sometimes
@micahlt: Professional developer, creator of wasteof.mobile. Pretty active, talks about web development stuff a lot of the time
@oren: Self-proclaimed “hacker who loves breaking stuff”. Extremely active, occasionally talks about programming and adjacent topics. Creator of wasteof.stats
@radi8: Creator of wasteof.code, a command-line interface for wasteof.money. Doesn’t post about programming very much imo but requested to be included
@theawesome98: Self-proclaimed nerd, pretty active. Working on a userscript for a custom wasteof reposting implementation right now
@theglasspenguin: Web developer, pretty active. Talks about computer stuff sometimes
@turtle84375: Web developer, just got back from planned summer hiatus
@zu: Very active, but makes a lot of non-programming related posts. Working on something called strawbscript. Also an artist, but doesn’t seem to post art here
